I saw this picture of a lady who was multitasking with about
6 arms doing different things at the same time, all of which required maximum
attention…I must add. This picture was sent to a body of women celebrating them
for their strength and multitasking abilities which in itself is amazing, and
one of the ladies’ response was and I quote “several times I wished I had 6
hands then I am reminded that I am graced to do even much more…” Wow…this
struck a chord in my heart and I was amazed at how we easily tilt to a picture
of self aggrandizement rather that what the gospel says about us.
Women in general are laden with so many responsibilities;
financial, domestic, motivational and even economic responsibilities and the
expectation is that they must carry out these responsibilities seamlessly
without a hair out of place…looking like you waltzed out of a celebrity
magazine or off the red carpet of some high profile social event.
If you’re a lady reading this you might be saying ‘hmmm, as in ehn’ or ‘tell them oh’ or ‘hmmm…you don’t even know the first about my own responsibilities’
or ‘I get oh but how do I even start?’
and other comments agreeing or explaining or portraying defeat under the load
of the chores.
These responsibilities are REAL and we ask most times “is it
actually possible to do all these things?” and my answer to you is YES! It is
possible!
Yes because;
- 1. The Bible specifically said that the state of our hearts is who we really are, not our heads or hands, Proverbs 23:7 tell us. Whatever you think in your heart is empowered to be in ‘real life’, your heart is like the factory of your life; where things, ideas, thoughts, tasks, experiences etc are processed and whatever conclusions you come to or what you believe, whether positive or negative begins to take place in your life. So choose ye this day…to think and know that you can do anything! You can do all that is before you to carry out. Your heart has to be set right in order for you to accomplish anything, if your heart is full of negatives then guess what your day will be full of. Some people think it’s just the power of positive thinking…well, what I mean is thinking RIGHT according to God’s will, thinking on God’s word, thinking on what he has done for us and how he has empowered us in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. That’s where the power is, that’s where your strength comes from.
- 2. God is the strength of our heart, Psalms 73:25-26. When you see in the scripture that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me Philippians 4:13 and you process it in your heart then you accept it or agree with it and believe that you can actually do all things; God empowers your belief and directs you on how to do ALL. It might seem a little conceptual but truly your heart and God partnering on any matter is a most powerful force to reckon with.
- 3. You will stand up and do…yes, you need to get off your bum and do what you need to do! Many times we believe that God has empowered us to do all and we have gone ahead to analyze our tasks, chores and responsibilities but good OLD laziness is what is wrong with you. You’ll sit down there day dreaming of a clean home, washed dishes and clothes, letters/proposals drafted and emailed, your 30minutes workout done etc…noooo. GET UP! Get up and get moving; only then can you do those things. Yes, God will direct us and even send people to help us o still you need to be up and moving, you might even need to ask for help as you are led to; some people are even so lazy to ask for help and it’s so annoying and then when God’s word comes forth you say “I believe I receive” but will you yield to God’s directions? Don’t let those things pile up…you’ll still have to do them someday. Selah!
God told us through Pastor Joseph Adah in church
@savannahmins that ‘we are cushioned with strength and favor’ I believe this
word and I will yield to the Holy Ghost as God directs me. So in all that I DO
I expect the cushion of strength and God’s favor in making the task easy or
sending people to help and save time.
