LIKE THE SUN

The sun dries out my clothes on the days I choose to hand wash and air dry them, mehnnn...those days are usually occupied with back and forth hand swiping motions across my face 'trying' to get rid of the dripping excess body fluid because of the heat from the sun. Talking about heat makes my body tingle in a not so good way from the current highs of temperature around the central and northern Nigeria, oh boy...the heat is much!!

The glow ball keeps its heat and shine constantly! It generates light, heat, shine, energy and if I'm not mistaken, the entire solar system revolves around the sun as the centre piece. Plants and living things get their livelihood from the sun in ways that can be scientifically explained. The essence of my chemistry or biology class is not for JAMB, NECO or the American SATs oh...lol; it's to remind you of how God creates!

God, as narrated in the Bible in the book of Genesis saw confusion on the earth and He SAID "Light be" and it was recorded that light was/became and God saw. It was from this creation command that the sun and all that is called DAY came to be. God put the sun in place for many reasons and it exists as a solution for many problems from the beginning of time; problems we have no idea existed in the past, the ones we are currently experiencing and future problems that the sun has solution for. (Who knew about solar powered cars in the year 21 AD?...#justsaying)

In the same way, God created man but this time He breathed his own life into man and made him like Himself (Gen 1:26-30) as a spirit speaking and life giving being! God created YOU as an embodiment of solution to all kinds of problems, issues that you think you know nothing about...the answer is in YOU!
I don't think that the sun, if it were a person in year 05 BC knew that one day it would be able to give light to people in little cloves called bulbs by transmitting its energy through solar panels...if i were the sun, I think I would ask "what is a bulb?"

God sees the end from the beginning, He knows everything from the foundation of the earth so from day one he put structures in place to solve all our issues and meet our needs and the needs of our world from then, till date and beyond. The solution is in YOU! The answer to the failing systems of the world is in YOU!

You are like the sun! Even when people are complaining that your own is too much #sabisabi #OTT (over the top)...just keep shining like the sun, unperturbed and fulfilling purpose. They will thank you for it someday and even if they don't, God is well pleased with you! Can you imagine how we complain about the sun's intensity and how it should dim its shine but we do not go about with flashlights, candles and lanterns to light up the sky just in case the sun heard us and decides to turn off its light during the day?

I said all the above to say this:

  • You were created for a dazzling purpose.
  • Be yourself Keep being yourself no matter what people say, don't let anyone dim your shine.
  • You are an embodiment of SOLUTION.
Col 1:27  To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory
Col 1:28  Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Col 1:29  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. The game was going in my favour… omo* I was on fire! Move after move, I frustrated all her efforts with my well thought out moves, my skills and years of experience playing the game. The score was now 4:1 and I was on my

PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

There they are, sitting bright and sunny perched delicately, waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the creamy yummy goodness that is so sweet and decadent, smoothe and cool to the touch. Yes; ripe and ready to eat bananas are fancy like that. Lol, perfect! right?! But what would you say about overripe bananas? Sitting at the back of the kitchen counter top or even closed away at the back of a kitchen cupboard; forgotten or on purpose left to grow and mature. It starts getting brighter but after a while dark brown spots and black patches begin to appear on them as they stay longer. They look off and unappealing, dark and unattractive but guess what they are still very PERFECT, discoloration and even time makes them perfect for the yummiest banana bread loafs and cakes like those from @sweetstuffkitchen. Okay okay, enough musings about bananas... FAM, don't wait to be perfect! your IMPERFECTIONS are what makes you unique, different and I dare say, PERFECT. Do not deprive humanity of your
