HAPPY HALF YEAR

Hi beautiful people,

Happy half year...lol. It's great to hear from some of you, your questions and comments inspire us greatly. Thank you very much. This post below seems to tug at my heart and I wanted to re-post but a little different. Enjoy and do send us your feedback.

Are there are times when you start to think about your life, about how far you have come but not really making a head way, who you started your journey with and how far they have gone and how you have not gone that far? "Chai...what kind of suffer suffer life is this? and it's already June, this year will soon end and I have not even achieved anything." 

"How can this even be possible? Can you imagine? We graduated together oh, 1st class sef and she's working with a multinational company, married to an amazing man with 2 well spaced kids and in all that time I can't even find me a man to call my own.' 

"Why is it that I can't get a job? Am I that much of an olodo (dunce)? Every interview they will say they will get back to me but I'll never hear from them again, how will i get the experience? Is it not when I actually work? Abeg I don tire to dey try and even when I decided to follow my heart and I started doing my craft, it was as if they have banned the purchase of my products. What kind of thing is this...God what is happening to me now?"

You're thinking about how you are stuck in this life that is so 'regrettably' yours and how things are not working for you and how time is not on your side as your biological clock is ticking...where will you start from and how do you even come out of the mess you are in as 2016 is going...BLAH BLAH BLAH!

SHUT UP and THINK again!!

That is the devil putting thoughts in your mind, there are no independent thoughts...they are either thoughts from God or the devil, good or bad respectively. The devil's thoughts are to deprive you of joy and the victories of your faith. You have faith and YES your faith is working to bring your desires to you even more than you expected. All the devil wants to do is to distract you from what God has done for you and how well you are doing in your life. STAY FOCUSED!

YES, you are doing great and you should never compare yourself with anyone, not even your twin. Everybody is different and has a different purpose in life, so don't allow another person's 'success' distract you from yours. Just because your successes are not as 'pronounced' as the other person's own does not mean you're not making progress naa; you don't even know what they had to go through to get there and how long they had to wait for their result. What you can do while waiting is to genuinely rejoice with them and thank God for your own miracles and victories.

LISTEN: Sometimes we are so engrossed in these thoughts and anxieties that we do not listen to hear the solutions God puts in our hearts for the same issues we are complaining about.

OBEY: Okay...even when we realize that God is prompting our hearts to do something, we drag our feet and consider all the 'what ifs' and we eventually do not yield to God. Then you go back to complaining about how you didn't get that breakthrough...daaahhhh!!

ENJOY: At whatever stage in your life, just enjoy! Enjoy God's love, his grace, enjoy your friends and family, enjoy the rigors of your job, ministry and/or business...just enjoy. You'll then treasure every stage of your life as it passes, one day at a time.

God is a God of SUDDENLY, God of the 11th hour, God of multiple chances and he never fails. You think you have problems??! Why not consider the situation that Moses was inside; leading over 2 million people with women and children without a map or GPS, he didn't have long term feeding, wardrobe and accommodation plans, no strategy to battle insurgency and attacks...they were slaves not fighters.
Moses was in charge only because God told him so and guess what happened...God always showed up for the children of Israel, they experienced mighty miracles as long as they did as God told them. Just like when they were in between the red sea and the Egyptian army, God literally made a way for them through the red sea and caused one of their problems to swallow the other!

God is on your side!

Psa 5:12  For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

6 These things add up. Every one of us needs to pray; when all hell breaks loose and the dam bursts we'll be on high ground, untouched.

11 Celebrate GOD. Sing together--everyone! All you honest hearts, raise the roof!

People of God, the work of your hands is blessed and if you encounter any difficulty or delay, ask God who has graciously deployed his angels to serve us at will. 2016 is a great year and God is not through with you...it's just the beginning!

BE YOURSELF

BE YOU Every once in a while, we come across people who are far away from who they originally are, they have become photocopies, or prototypes and I dare say even counterfeits of themselves…its amazing how one can move away from one’s true self and very quickly too. People have become imitators of others; people they call mentors, celebrities, their parents or siblings, friends and even random individuals, all in the bid to be accepted or something like that. With this beautiful age of social media with Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat etc and reality shows, people have easy and unrestricted access to people’s ‘fake’ lives whether private or public and as you constantly feast on these shows and these profiles in the name of entertainment or keeping up with trends you start to change. You begin to subtly accept and agree with their ways, start to think like them and eventually begin to act like them. CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. The game was going in my favour… omo* I was on fire! Move after move, I frustrated all her efforts with my well thought out moves, my skills and years of experience playing the game.
