"YOU SAVED US"

Sometime ago I was robbed!
I had heard about the 'Worship Club' by Chubie and the Extreme life singers and that they were coming to my city (Abuja); I was so excited about it and made arrangements to attend and I did attend. I had an amazing time at the concert; the power of God was present and I received the anointing through the ministry of the Extreme Life singers, Minister Ozo Opara, Psalmist Samuel Adaji and more.

So here I was tingly and 'high', basking in the glory of God and enjoying His presence as I walked out of the venue with a dear friend to take a taxi home...after about 30minutes we were both robbed of our phones, mobile devices, cash, power banks, chargers even the crackers and drinks we were offered at the end of the concert. Interesting right?!

I was shocked, afraid...I was many things at the same time and then the rush of anger, serious anger "why did this happen to ME?" That was when he spoke to me and by 'he' I don't mean God oh, it was the devil and he said:
"I thought you said they are angels all around you? Are they not supposed to keep you from evil? So why did they let this happen to YOU? To think you are even coming from a concert for that matter, that means all this 'MIGHTY SUPPLY' you're confessing is not working at all..."
Then I heard my dear friend say 'Thank you Jesus, thank you Jesus, you saved us!' She said this repeatedly then I heard in my heart '...it could have been worse, that guy could have taken your lives.' So I joined her and said "Thank you Jesus, you saved us!"

The devil tries to take advantage of every situation to turn us away from God, to turn us away from how good God is to us and our loved ones, he wants to distract us and keep our hearts away from the miracles and healing we have seen, heard and partaken of. The devil constantly wants us to look away from the cross and say that the sacrifice of Jesus is not enough or is not working, he wants to kill our joy and bring depression, steal our victories and hand us tales of pain and woes. He wants to destroy our relationship with God so we'll forever be lost in darkness. BUT NO! A MILLION TIMES NO! Satan I rebuke you and I declare that the blood of Jesus is against you!!
I refuse, I refuse to yield to his schemes and lies but I look to Jesus and thank Him for the life he has given me in his death, burial and resurrection.

Constantly putting God's word in our hearts keep us on track, it reminds us of God's unconditional love for us, his word opens our eyes and keeps us confident in God and his mighty deliverance. Just because we were robbed of our belongings did not mean that my angels were on casual leave or that God does not love me...NO! That's not who God is...He is a loving father, a good father that watches over his children with so much attention. (Matthew 7:11).

Declare God's word; what he has done for you in Jesus, what he has spoken to you through his Prophets, go ahead and tell it to the whole world, shout it on the roof/mountain top and praise Him...that's how you still the devil in his tracks always. Will that put a permanent stop to the devil's schemes and suggestions? No, it won't.
1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

That is the devil's job description, walking about looking for who to trouble... but like the verse above says, our task is to resist him constantly in faith knowing that Jesus has already defeated the devil when he died on the cross, went to hell and exercised His authority over Satan and his cohorts when he was buried and Jesus rose assuring us of our victory over our already defeated enemy, Satan. Glory to God...it's a complete package.

So when negative thoughts come to your mind, know that they are from the devil and it is in your power to resist them and think God thoughts...fill your hearts with good, with GOD! Then, you will experience good and have victories constantly in your life.

So I say "... thank you Jesus, you saved us!!"

CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. The game was going in my favour… omo* I was on fire! Move after move, I frustrated all her efforts with my well thought out moves, my skills and years of experience playing the game. The score was now 4:1 and I was on my

PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

There they are, sitting bright and sunny perched delicately, waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the creamy yummy goodness that is so sweet and decadent, smoothe and cool to the touch. Yes; ripe and ready to eat bananas are fancy like that. Lol, perfect! right?! But what would you say about overripe bananas? Sitting at the back of the kitchen counter top or even closed away at the back of a kitchen cupboard; forgotten or on purpose left to grow and mature. It starts getting brighter but after a while dark brown spots and black patches begin to appear on them as they stay longer. They look off and unappealing, dark and unattractive but guess what they are still very PERFECT, discoloration and even time makes them perfect for the yummiest banana bread loafs and cakes like those from @sweetstuffkitchen. Okay okay, enough musings about bananas... FAM, don't wait to be perfect! your IMPERFECTIONS are what makes you unique, different and I dare say, PERFECT. Do not deprive humanity of your
