PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

There they are, sitting bright and sunny perched delicately, waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the creamy yummy goodness that is so sweet and decadent, smoothe and cool to the touch. Yes; ripe and ready to eat bananas are fancy like that. Lol, perfect! right?! But what would you say about overripe bananas? Sitting at the back of the kitchen counter top or even closed away at the back of a kitchen cupboard; forgotten or on purpose left to grow and mature. It starts getting brighter but after a while dark brown spots and black patches begin to appear on them as they stay longer. They look off and unappealing, dark and unattractive but guess what they are still very PERFECT, discoloration and even time makes them perfect for the yummiest banana bread loafs and cakes like those from @sweetstuffkitchen. Okay okay, enough musings about bananas... FAM, don't wait to be perfect! your IMPERFECTIONS are what makes you unique, different and I dare say, PERFECT. Do not deprive humanity of your

HAPPY 2020

Hey Y'all, So my daughter had a meltdown yesterday! Her insides were literally melting and running out through the entry and exit points and I was stunned by how fast her strength was deteriorating, her movements were becoming slow and how my bubbly, smiling, in-charge ‘Jesus-toddler’ was changing - and for not so good – right before my eyes. I was quiet. I watched. I held her and I rocked her back and forth and watched as at intervals her body rumbled and rejected the very things that give it vitality and strength. I was quiet! I was listening, listening for my heart but while at this, my deceiving ex was whispering, coaxing and even shouting at me, telling me the things that were wrong with my child but I was quiet and I listened. Then I heard it! I heard it over and over again by the friendly familiar voice and He said “STAND BY YOUR SACRIFICE…” At that point I knew we were under attack and I was being instructed by our Captain how to

CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. The game was going in my favour… omo* I was on fire! Move after move, I frustrated all her efforts with my well thought out moves, my skills and years of experience playing the game. The score was now 4:1 and I was on my

HELLO 2018!!

Happy New Year precious people, We have excitedly entered into 2018 and so much is being said about focus and resolutions and goals and so on but not to worry, all you need to do is let your heart guide you. Take what is necessary for your growth this year and stay with it...like @Aromeadah says, '...consistency is the rule of the game.' I saw this write up on social media and it was very apt for this platform (ladies and guys alike) and so I thought to share..so enjoy and identify who you best must be in 2018. Be an * Esther *, bold and courageous enough to stand for the truth, to voice your opinion and fight for the good of others, even when it means to sacrifice yourself. If God has put you in a position, it is for a purpose. Never be afraid to heed to that inner voice.  Be a * Ruth *, loyal in all your relationships, walk the extra mile and don’t quit when things get tough. Someday, you’ll see why it was all worth the effort.  Be a * Lydia *,

BE ENCOURAGED!

It's absolutely amazing to know that all you ever hoped to be, do or have is already in you. it's true and that's as plain as it gets..."Christ in me the hope of glory..." Sometimes we feel like we need to study more, acquire more knowledge and insight to prepare and equip us for what God has put in our hearts to do but guess what, all that 'equipment', resource, skill, talent, flair, gift that we need is already in us and what we need to do is STEP OUT!! Step out in faith on God's instruction on what he wants you to do. Don't wait to have an exclusive one on one interview with @tarafeladurotoye or @moabudu or any of your own mentors/role models to understand how they became who they are before you step out. Those opportunities are priceless and I advise that you jump at an exclusive chat with any of your mentors but don't seat on your bum and just wait! You'll be waiting for a long time but once you step out, I guarantee you that yo

"YOU SAVED US"

Sometime ago I was robbed! I had heard about the 'Worship Club' by Chubie and the Extreme life singers and that they were coming to my city (Abuja); I was so excited about it and made arrangements to attend and I did attend. I had an amazing time at the concert; the power of God was present and I received the anointing through the ministry of the Extreme Life singers, Minister Ozo Opara, Psalmist Samuel Adaji and more. So here I was tingly and 'high', basking in the glory of God and enjoying His presence as I walked out of the venue with a dear friend to take a taxi home...after about 30minutes we were both robbed of our phones, mobile devices, cash, power banks, chargers even the crackers and drinks we were offered at the end of the concert. Interesting right?! I was shocked, afraid...I was many things at the same time and then the rush of anger, serious anger "why did this happen to ME?" That was when he spoke to me and by 'he' I don't mea
