ME AND MY FRIEND
Me and my friend
walking together is our trend
Always together, even in stormy weather
Through thick and thin
We are unto each other like skin
Or so I thought...
Until I met other friends
Or so I called them
Chattering became the best of me
A 'predicament' they exercised with joy
Modesty broke free, scurried to safety
As I launched a 'talk' mandate
Took on shouting aerobics, angry ballet classes
Chanting, gisting, gossiping, whispering...
My nuts were not only loose but broken...lost!

First - of them all...my Friend,
Sitting still, watching, listening, moving...visible
He was speaking, talking to me
How could I even listen to him
I was in a SOUND studio with noise all around me
But in my heart was...Peace!

Oh what a friend I have in Jesus

Hey lovely people, don't get carried away by 'stuff' and neglect Jesus!

It is easy to be distracted by work, friends and family, activities and events...even church activities and neglect Jesus, pushing him to a corner in our hearts where we only make reference to him in exclamation, or as an end note to quite unbelieving requests. He's our Saviour and he's with you to help you through life's problem so you can stand out in your field as his ABLE representative so people can get to know him like you and receive his help like you have.

1 Timothy 4:12  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Matthew 11:28  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Please do not push him aside, talk to him and listen to him; your life will be better off than with friends/people who make you take on 'talk mandates' and do amebo* as if your life depended on it. NO!
Psa 46:10  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Listen to Him and God will be exalted in your life!

BE YOURSELF

BE YOU Every once in a while, we come across people who are far away from who they originally are, they have become photocopies, or prototypes and I dare say even counterfeits of themselves…its amazing how one can move away from one’s true self and very quickly too. People have become imitators of others; people they call mentors, celebrities, their parents or siblings, friends and even random individuals, all in the bid to be accepted or something like that. With this beautiful age of social media with Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat etc and reality shows, people have easy and unrestricted access to people’s ‘fake’ lives whether private or public and as you constantly feast on these shows and these profiles in the name of entertainment or keeping up with trends you start to change. You begin to subtly accept and agree with their ways, start to think like them and eventually begin to act like them. CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election.
