CHURCH GIRL

Hello everyone,
Today is Wednesday and we would like to feature a church girl that truly rocks!

Life can be daunting at times but if you truly rely on God to see you through then you will rise above all and walk in the way as the Lord leads you.

God has designed us and all that He does is good...perfect if i must add. so therefore, you are good and perfect and I dare say you are a perfect example for others to follow...you are a HERO!

This piece is about one of my heroes. You can also tell us about your own heroes; comment on the post or email us at iamachurchgirl@gmail.com.

Enjoy!

HERO WORSHIP

Do you know who I am?
-        Ask your neighbour...
Do you know who I am?
I am the princess of the most High God
Possessor of the heaven and the earth
I am the righteousness of God
The healed and the helped of the Lord
The Apple of God's eyes
The only sugar in His tea...hahaha YES!
And I am a fellow virtuous lady with Pst Nugwa Adah

Yes o...you heard me!
I can never leave that out.
That I am related to her is not child's play
But by the Lamb slain.
It's a privilege...no be joke.
She's a phenomenal lady,
Unseemingly striking in her beauty and very darling.
Truly, beauty is in the eyes of the beheld
As I have seen in my Reverend's o baebae o baebae

Like a little girl, I watch her dance
Dance away to the music of her God, our God
The two both of us...
I watch her worship, freelance
Singing to the melody of our Lord.
She yields to the sound of His voice
As she bows, kneels and even prostrates
To Him in total surrender.
He reigns in her life so she reigns,
She puts God first and favors Him;
That's why I can't stop thinking about Her
That's why you favor her too.

Ehn...Yes! Call it hero worship
Afterall that's the title of my gist sef
But I'll talk about her some more
Have you heard her speak?
Her voice is so nutritious,
sweet and as smooth as velvet
Gentle even to the touch of uncertainty or anxiety
But firm, resounding, exact
She knows what she's talking about
Casting out all fear and doubt by the word of God
Those words that have become hers
By reason of use.

She's the Duchess of the Minstrels Of Grace
Regal and even heavenly as she conducts or sings
She's ever ready to teach and listen to us
She doesn't think it's a big deal to learn a new thing
She's ever ready, always on hand
To comfort, encourage, chastise...
She's always there through our pregnancies
Telling us the Grace version of our trimesters
And ever ready to birth another Savannah baby

They say life begins at 40
But life began when you gave your life to Christ
Life started for us Virtuous ladies
The day you accepted to marry our Reverend
And co-pilot this ministry with him.
We say thank you on his behalf
We could not have wished for another
You're a perfect match for him
And I dare say...for us too.
Thank you for accepting us
Even in the elbow to elbow cafeteria store in Zaria
And thank you for staying through the legediz Benz era,
Even through the days of the volvo, pijo, the 190 etc

My words are not enough so I will say:
To the delectable, the beautiful, the charming
To the elegant, outstanding and amiable
Wife of the General overseer,
Savannah Grace Ministries International,
The mother of our Reverend's three lovely children
The presiding Pastor of Savannah Grace Chapel London
The Governess of MOG,
Cordinator of children's church,
The Queen bee of the Virtuous Ladies
Pastor (Dr.) Mrs Ojonugwa Adah
We love you and celebrate you.
Thank you for all you are to us.
We hail thee!!

CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. The game was going in my favour… omo* I was on fire! Move after move, I frustrated all her efforts with my well thought out moves, my skills and years of experience playing the game. The score was now 4:1 and I was on my

NO INDEPENDENT THOUGHT

Are there are times when you start to think about your life, about how far you have come but not really making a head way, who you started your journey with and how far they have gone and how you have not gone that far? "Chai...what kind of suffer suffer life is this?"  "How can this even be possible? Can you imagine? We graduated together oh, 1st class sef and she's working with a multinational company, married to an amazing man with 2 well spaced kids and in all that time I can't even find me a man to call my own.'  "Why is it that I can't get a job? Am I that much of an olodo (dunce)? Every interview they will say they will get back to me but I'll never hear from them again, how will i get the experience? Is it not when i actually work? Abeg I don tire to dey try and even when I decided to follow my heart and I started doing my craft, it was as if they have banned the purchase of my products. What kind of thing is this...God what is happen

PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

There they are, sitting bright and sunny perched delicately, waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the creamy yummy goodness that is so sweet and decadent, smoothe and cool to the touch. Yes; ripe and ready to eat bananas are fancy like that. Lol, perfect! right?! But what would you say about overripe bananas? Sitting at the back of the kitchen counter top or even closed away at the back of a kitchen cupboard; forgotten or on purpose left to grow and mature. It starts getting brighter but after a while dark brown spots and black patches begin to appear on them as they stay longer. They look off and unappealing, dark and unattractive but guess what they are still very PERFECT, discoloration and even time makes them perfect for the yummiest banana bread loafs and cakes like those from @sweetstuffkitchen. Okay okay, enough musings about bananas... FAM, don't wait to be perfect! your IMPERFECTIONS are what makes you unique, different and I dare say, PERFECT. Do not deprive humanity of your
