LIKE A FIELD...

Mark 4:26-29 (MSG)
Then Jesus said, “God’s kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. Then the seed sprouts and grows – he has no idea how it happens. The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem        of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain is fully formed, he reaps – harvest       time!
Ø  Let's take this position and see whether it will work, I checked on Google and they said it takes about 3 days for conception to take place after intercourse and about 7 days for implantation. So let’s try this way maybe it will work this time. The doctors online said that this position always works for couples trying to get pregnant.’ (After a couple of weeks she still sees her monthly flow.)
Ø  ‘Hmmm…I hope I have conceived now oh, it was exactly during my fertile window that we met. Hmm…it is well! But it’s about 5 days now…ok maybe implantation is taking place. That means I can’t take coffee, Lipton or things that are too hot, no exercise – nothing! I can’t afford to ruin everything, because it can ruin everything.’ She is filled with worry and anxiety while she waits in an almost “lying in state” position but eventually…it passes!
Ø  ‘Yes…we finally made it, ohhh finally but I feel so terrible with all the vomiting and weakness and people say it comes with the territory especially in the first trimester. I wonder if the baby has properly attached, that was how I miscarried the other ones o. Hmmm…it’s not my portion again o, God forbid – not anymore. This time I will make sure that I get enough rest, I’ll make sure that I don’t stress myself, I will eat healthy and go to the hospital or call the doctor at the slightest movement. I cannot lose this one…I’ll do all I can!’ The baby stayed…albeit through a series of fear and anxiety campaigns by its host and carrier. She slowly but steadily drove a wedge through her relationship between her and her husband using her tantrums, complaints and consistent nagging.
Most of the time the above words play over and over in the minds of ladies who are recently married or have waited for some time to have their children. They SEEM to trust God for the precious fruit of the womb but they are technically working out the plan and steps by themselves.
This is called WORRY!
Do you wonder how goats and birds, generally animals, conceive? Do they consider the chances of conception or the steps to take to avoid a miscarriage? Do they pray and cry and reel out the reasons why they have not ‘taken in’? Do the goats consciously stop eating a particular type of grass or do they call/hurry to a doctor at the slightest movement. NO!
How much more you? I am not saying humans are in the same class of goats and animals but who do you really take God for? A God, who claims to love you, who gave his only son in a shameful and heart wrenching death to save you, only to deny you of your inheritance that he gave you? That same inheritance that his son died to execute for you? I don’t get it! Psalms 127:2-5 (KJV&MSG) says it is vain to rise up early and eat the bread of sorrows…so you should not be anxious about conceiving and how to keep that precious seed/fruit in your womb; that is for God to do and believe me…he is able to do it!
Ladies, consider your womb as a field where your husband plants after which the planter and the field itself rests! They don’t need to do anything for the seed to attach to the soil, germinate and bloom…nothing at all!
Matthew 6:27…and which one of you by taking thought (worrying) can add a cubit to his stature? Go back to our first scripture Mark 4:26-29 (MSG) and see how that man and the field respond to his seed.
Ladies, rest! Rest in what God has done for you through Jesus Christ our savior. Of course you should run tests and seek medical attention for you and your husband but your trust should ultimately be in God and his willingness to do you good. Focus on His word concerning conception, pregnancy and delivery and build your faith and all your desires will happen speedily.
Psa 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Jdg 13:3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.

Luk 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

Heb 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

God is on our side!

CHANCE OR NOT

Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. The game was going in my favour… omo* I was on fire! Move after move, I frustrated all her efforts with my well thought out moves, my skills and years of experience playing the game. The score was now 4:1 and I was on my

PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

There they are, sitting bright and sunny perched delicately, waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the creamy yummy goodness that is so sweet and decadent, smoothe and cool to the touch. Yes; ripe and ready to eat bananas are fancy like that. Lol, perfect! right?! But what would you say about overripe bananas? Sitting at the back of the kitchen counter top or even closed away at the back of a kitchen cupboard; forgotten or on purpose left to grow and mature. It starts getting brighter but after a while dark brown spots and black patches begin to appear on them as they stay longer. They look off and unappealing, dark and unattractive but guess what they are still very PERFECT, discoloration and even time makes them perfect for the yummiest banana bread loafs and cakes like those from @sweetstuffkitchen. Okay okay, enough musings about bananas... FAM, don't wait to be perfect! your IMPERFECTIONS are what makes you unique, different and I dare say, PERFECT. Do not deprive humanity of your
