There they are, sitting bright and sunny perched delicately, waiting to be unwrapped to reveal the creamy yummy goodness that is so sweet and decadent, smoothe and cool to the touch. Hey Y'all, So my daughter had a meltdown yesterday! Her insides were literally melting and running out through the entry and exit points and I was stunned by how fast her strength was deteriorating, her movements were becoming slow and how my bubbly, smiling, in-charge ‘Jesus-toddler’ was changing - and for not so good – right before my eyes. Ludo is quite an interesting game for me. I like it because I can think through and be strategic about my moves before making them and I can quickly recover from an opponent’s hard hit and make a comeback. Some say it’s a game of chance that can only be decided by a throw of the dice but then again, life hands us things sometimes that we must make the best out of. So this is my story… I was playing ludo with someone recently and the winner would be decided after five rounds of the game, so I cracked my knuckles, rolled up my sleeves, mentally psyched myself and thought “easy peasy, she can’t even stand my skills; I GAT THIS!!” So we started to play and yours truly was waving her bragging rights high in the sky like a banner for an upcoming election. Sometime ago I was robbed! I had heard about the 'Worship Club' by Chubie and the Extreme life singers and that they were coming to my city (Abuja); I was so excited about it and made arrangements to attend and I did attend. I had an amazing time at the concert; the power of God was present and I received the anointing through the ministry of the Extreme Life singers, Minister Ozo Opara, Psalmist Samuel Adaji and more. The sun dries out my clothes on the days I choose to hand wash and air dry them, mehnnn...those days are usually occupied with back and forth hand swiping motions across my face 'trying' to get rid of the dripping excess body fluid because of the heat from the sun. Talking about heat makes my body tingle in a not so good way from the current highs of temperature around the central and northern Nigeria, oh boy...the heat is much!! The glow ball keeps its heat and shine constantly! It generates light, heat, shine, energy and if I'm not mistaken, the entire solar system revolves around the sun as the centre piece. Plants and living things get their livelihood from the sun in ways that can be scientifically explained. People have become imitators of others; people they call mentors, celebrities, their parents or siblings, friends and even random individuals, all in the bid to be accepted or something like that. With this beautiful age of social media with Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat etc and reality shows, people have easy and unrestricted access to people’s ‘fake’ lives whether private or public and as you constantly feast on these shows and these profiles in the name of entertainment or keeping up with trends you start to change. You begin to subtly accept and agree with their ways, start to think like them and eventually begin to act like them.
